It has been seven months since we have moved to Kansas from California.
I miss it. I miss the weather, the smell of the winter rain.
I miss the Fog, rolling in from the bay, engulfing the valley, the hills, the bridges, the roads.
I miss the green rolling hills and snow capped mountains.
I miss having easy access to the beach, the snow, the redwoods, and San Francisco.
I miss my family and friends....I never realized how much I leaned on them for strength until now.
I miss the vineyards, the sweet sour smell of the harvest and fermenting grapes.
I miss downtown Livermore, and all the people I never wanted to see again from high school etc.
I miss the ranch, the smell of the cows, the sage brush, the sounds of my family arguing politics over a great big meat and potato meal.
I miss the cabin so much.
I have said all is great here, and I love it. Everyone is wonderful to us, loving and patient. All that is true. But nothing will ever compare to home.

Deleted Facebook Account
Today, I have chosen freedom over Facebook!
There was just one too many times I was asked the question "Is so and so mad at me, did I do something wrong?"
So if you need to get ahold of the Sebergers, you have the number and email I hope. If not, comment back on this and I will get you the information.
Ciao!

The Baby Shower, and other things....
I am very behind on EVERYTHING. I never really got any pictures from my baby shower in April, so I am posting the pictures that we took, as well as the ones Dave and Cheryl Seberger took.
Thank you cards still have not gone out, and it isn't that we aren't VERY thankful for everything everyone has done, it is more due to the fact that our lives have been CRAZY ever since!
When I had the baby shower, I was still working full time and packing for our move on the weekends. Than I quit working and a few days later, the baby was born. Three weeks later, the baptism and then the move to Kansas. And finally in the past 4 weeks, we have moved to Kansas, and are just settling in. So now I need to get those thank you cards out.
Jason is still looking for work and we are waiting to hear results from a few interviews he had. This week, he starts a temporary job in Clay Center, NE.

4th Of July
This is the second year Jason and I spent in Nebraska with his family (The Cantral's) at their cabins on Lake Maloney. Located just outside of North Platte, the family has owned these cabins since the 1950's, and has celebrated many special family moments over the years at this beautiful location. Last year the cabins were renovated and updated a little. Below are some pictures of the family at the lake. I took a few pics from Kim, because I forgot my memory card that weekend (silly me!)
The entire Cantral family was able to venture to the lake this year, so here is the crew
This is Tyson (Kim and Derick's son) and Adelaide. All weekend he was telling everyone she is "his"

Week 8
This week Adelaide is smiling more and more, and they are real social smiles! It is heart warming to see your little baby, (who has been keeping you up all night with needing food, diapering, and just love), actually FINALLY smiles at you. It makes it all worth it.
We have tried to capture this in a few pictures, but at this point it is still pretty difficult.
Other news: Jason is still on the search for a job. We thought he had one, he was supposed to start on Monday. But that ended up falling through. It's ok, he has three interviews lined up for this week and next and we shall see what unfolds.
